We Rocked a Wedding Festival!

The Festival

On Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May, we had the privilege of being involved in the Unconventional Wedding Festival at Stanford Hall Estate, Lutterworth.

The Festival was made up of eight zones – each with a completely different vibe. From Urban to Sci-Fi, and from Boho to Arabian Nights – this wedding fair had the inspiration engaged couples need.

Each zone was situated in an individual venue, and what a variety of venues we had – Moroccan marquees, tipis, yurts, stunning halls, stable blocks and double decker buses! All situated around the large Stanford Hall Estate.

Our Zone

Our zone, AKA ‘The Festival Vibes’ zone was incredible – we had the honour of working with some amazing suppliers to pull it all together. We were based in a breathtaking three hat tipi provided by Peaktipis (who also provided some amazing furniture and lighting!). Fairy lights adorned the inside of the tipi and festoon lighting outside. In the evening, the whole zone looked spectacular!

With vast amounts of ribbon in tow, we were able to really give our zone the ‘festival’ vibe that we wanted. We worked with each supplier to ensure that we were all on the same page and that they shared our vision for the zone. Complete with our own signage and finishing touches, we were able to bring that vision to life.

We were lucky enough to have a drinks van and catering van in our zone! Tchin-Tchin has THE best range of drinks (we try and test products in our zone, obviously – I would recommend the gin!) One Potato Two serves amazing jacket potatoes with a wide selection of toppings – including those for us vegetarians and vegans (again tried and tested!).

Ed Brown Photography understood the vision for our zone and came equipped with promotional and decorative items that fit perfectly. We love Ed and Victoria’s unique and edgy style and it was great to have them both with us over the weekend. Ed produced some amazing images, that really captured the essence of our zone.

Sarah from Olive Owl Flowers was the first on the scene to set up on Friday morning, and boy did she work hard! She created a show stopping floral chandelier – a few of us worked hard with her to hang this in the centre of the tipi – true teamwork! Once this was in place, Sarah got to work on displaying her stunning bouquet and table design. Sarah did all this, along with styling another zone at the Festival!

It was clear that one of the main things attracting guests to the Festival Vibes zone, was the wonderful ladies of Let’s Rock the Boat. They created unique face and body art on festival visitors, as well as each of the zone suppliers too! They were a big hit. I was lucky enough to have face art each day of the Festival! Fabulous work, and fabulous ladies!

Amy from The Making Cupboard has pushed the boundaries on all expectations for wedding invitations. With three designs to choose from, you are certainly spoilt for choice – a camera, satchel and a radio (which plays actual music!). I still can’t decide which is my favourite.

Our tipi overlooked an amazing miniature crazy golf course, by the lovely people at 9 Hole Event Hire. They were a massive feature of our zone, and their course was such a hit with our visitors. It was lovely to look out and see families enjoying having a go!

As well as this impressive list of suppliers our zone also featured:

Our zone was filled with an amazing bunch of suppliers, that were a pleasure to work with!

The Weekend

We had a fun filled weekend meeting lots of guests, as well as suppliers. The Festival welcomed over 1,000 guests to Stanford Hall Estate and each one embraced the relaxed and fun vibe of the Festival. The gorgeous weather we had over the whole weekend (aside from the torrential rain during our set up) meant that visitors could enjoy all of the outdoor activities on offer!

If you joined us at the Festival, it was great to meet you and we hope you had an amazing time!

We look forward to meeting more of you in the future – watch this space!

Love Nicole x
